This small house was designed to achieve several things :
Maximise use of small portion of site overlooking lake and retain some level portion for
landscaping,
Retain the natural gulley separating the house from the street
Make full use of the spaces inside the house to create a "large house" feel within a small space.
Some of this was achieved with simple things such as widening the stairs to create additional
shelving up the side walls of the stair well thus utilizing a space that is typically wasted.
Simple geometric forms gave the design a classic feel to it.
Driveway access was achieved on the north side of the property in order to retain the natural
gulley separating the street from the house. Rather than fill in this natural feature - the owners
wisely chose to retain it's original feel to it and incorporate this as a feature.
